Our Services
At first contact, an advisor will schedule a consult with you. This consult can be in-person or virtual, we prefer in person!
We will come prepared with our own questions and to answer yours. Consults are always free, whether you chose to move forward with us or not. We take time to get to know who you are- your story, concerns, barriers in your environment, preferences for care... you name it, we want to hear about it! The consult is our chance to understand what you may be looking for moving forward. From there, we do three things:
Match your preferences and needs to options that make sense
Dorothy’s Place is networked with many New Hampshire long-term care communities and in-home care companies to find you the best place.
We will discuss with you whether we recommend in-home care or long-term care and why, along with the costs.
Tour and Meet Potential Placements
Your advisor doesn’t just generate a few long-term care communities in your area. We find potential fits, schedule the tours and go with you.
Dorothy’s Place Advisors advocate for you every step of the way- ensuring the right answers are asked and important details are clearly communicated to you.
Move-In Support
Once you’ve decided on either the community you’d like to join or the home care team you’d like to hire, your advisor helps coordinate details with you and the company. We ensure they are aware of your needs and will keep you safe and cared for on day 1.
After move-in, your advisor will check in on you to see how you’re adjusting and take feedback on how your services are working.
We Know What You’re Thinking… What’s This Going to Cost?
In plain language, we cost you nothing. Housing Advisors make their money off an agreed upon percentage of your first month’s rent- paid by the facility.
Dorothy’s Place may not receive payment from a Medicaid paid source. Please inquire further if you are planning on using Medicaid to pay for your care.
